Catersfield House

Catersfield House is a Boutique Country Retreat situated amongst the vineyards in the historic "Mistletoe" area of North-West Pokolbin in the beautiful Hunter Valley. Situated on a rise overlooking the Brokenback Ranges, the setting is perfect for this elegant and comfortable country house which has been designed to create a warm ambience and a feeling of total relaxation. Stroll in the gardens, sit by the lake, or simply read on the wide verandahs and absorb the view, and a glass of your favorite local vintage!

There are nine luxurious bedrooms, all with their own theme and personality. Situated upstairs, with spectacular views of the vineyards and mountains are the Eastern Room, the Edwardian Room, the Monet Room, Der Rosenkavalier Room and the Chianti Room, all with king-size beds, and able to be made up as twin rooms if required.

The French Room has a traditional mahogany four-poster bed for that special romantic weekend! The Courtyard room has a king-size bed and a private courtyard leading out to the swimming pool, the Summerhouse is a short distance from the house for total privacy and also has a king-size bed and a 2-person spa.

There is an intimate Terrace room with a double bed opening on to the verandah at the side of the house which has its own sitting room with log fire. Two of our deluxe themed rooms now have 2-person spas.

Conferences and Weddings are available-Groups specially catered for. Please contact hosts for further information.

Weekend Stay- Either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday includes both a buffet and Hot Country Breakfast.

All rooms are elegantly furnished, and each has a large ensuite, reverse cycle air-conditioning, fan, TV, VCR, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facility, spring water, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. A selection of videos is available for guest's use.

The house facilities include a large Guests' Lounge with a log fire, a salt water swimming pool, a BBQ Cabana, a Petanque (Boules) Terrain, a Recreation room with a table tennis table, and a potential to catch your own fish from the lake!

LOCATION OF CATERSFIELD HOUSE

Follow the F3 (National 1) north from Sydney and take the Cessnock / Kurri Kurri turn off. At the township of Cessnock turn right into Vincent St to drive end, turn left & immediately right into Allandale Road. Pass the airport, turn left into Broke Road, follow Broke Road through the left/right "dog leg" at McDonalds Roads. Continue along Broke Road to Hermitage Road, turn right at Hermitage Road, then travel about 3 kilometres and turn left into Mistletoe Lane. No 96 is 1km on right.
