Overlooking beautiful Bancroft Bay in the heart of the Gippsland lakes sits the award winning Clovelly House, a luxury boutique bed and breakfast.

Relax in the landscaped gardens or in the glow of a cosy fire, sit and take in the views from the wide sun-drenched verandah. Wake refreshed and enjoy an indulgent breakfast from our resident chef before setting off to explore the many delights the Metung district has to offer. Your hosts, Polly and Graham May really know the value of warm, genuine hospitality. On arrival at Clovelly, you will be greeted with afternoon tea or a glass of champagne and settled into one of three luxurious bedrooms or the magnificent garden cottage.

Each bedroom is stylishly furnished and  rooms are complimented by the highest quality linen, towels and toiletries.  Each room includes a queen sized bed and  ensuite featuring a large double spa, separate shower and atriums complete with ferns and tropical plants. In-house guests enjoy a wonderful guest lounge with a wood fire and majestic views over Bancroft Bay.

In his younger days, Graham trained as a chef in Canberra so gourmet breakfasts are a feature at Clovelly House, normally taken on the wide sun-drenched verandah with the wild birds for company.  The ever changing menu uses only the freshest produce and local products when ever possible.

As well as a Traditional Breakfast Menu which includes dishes such as Scrambled Eggs with Crisp Pancetta and Eggs Florentine there is also a Spicy Breakfast Menu for the more adventurous with dishes such as Vietnamese Crab Omelette and the Clovelly House speciality, Spicy Wok Fried Eggs served with chillies, spring onions and oyster sauce !!

Clovelly House is situated only 200 metres from the village of Metung. In the village there are two restaurants, the Metung Hotel, Metung Yacht Club and a couple of coffee shops.
The Metung Bakery is renowned for their bread and pies. All this, and a safe swimming beach on the shores of Lake King, is only a short stroll from Clovelly House. Without getting into your car you can fish, swim or take a cruise.  In the evening a stroll along the beach as the sun sets across the water does wonders for the soul.

Clovelly House Luxury Bed & Breakfast does not cater for children or pets.

Three bedrooms inside the main house each with their own ensuite. The King Room has lovely water views.
