La Torretta B&B

La Torretta, our Bed & Breakfast and an original 100 year old Queenslander which has now been carefully restored, was our family home . When the kids left, we converted their ground level quarters into a very private and comfortable area which is now available to our guests. So you can stay in Brisbane with all the comforts of home, with only a 10-15 minute walk to Brisbane City Centre and South Bank/Convention Centre, or visit the West End cafes, restaurants and shops just around the corner.

There are two comfortable, quiet guest rooms, each with its own private bathroom. There is a separate guest entrance, and all guest rooms are at ground level.  La Torretta is much more comfortable and personal than a hotel for your city visits.

One guest room is decorated with antique Australian Cedar furniture and has two single beds. The bathroom has a small bath as well as a shower. The other room looks out onto the garden shaded by a huge macadamia nut tree (native to Queensland).  This room has a Queen-size bed and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin.

The spacious guest sitting/dining room has a wonderful indoor/outdoor feeling. It is a place where you can relax, watch TV, listen to the radio, catch up on the paperwork/ postcards, or just have a cup of tea or coffee.

We provide a choice of leaf teas and the facilities to make real coffee.

There are basic cooking facilities with all pots and pans supplied. You can buy any food you need at the supermarket which is two minutes' walk away.

Tariffs

• Double $95 per day - Single $75 per day
•  Weekly $570

Minimum 2 night stay.

Breakfast is of course included in our tariff. The system is self service, so you are not tied down to a specific time.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our breakfasts, with home-made bread & jams, fresh fruit, cereals, including home mixed wheat-free muesli and a choice of yoghurts.

Juice, real coffee and a selection of teas are available.

Any special dietary requests can be made when you book, although we always keep a supply of soy and rice milks just in case.
