Valley Guest House

Driving the last few kilometres to the Valley Guest House is a perfect way to prepare for a weekend of nature and fresh air, wine and good food.

At the picturesque town of Yarra Glen we turned off the highway into Steels Creek Road, and entered the peace of rural Victoria - green hills dotted with gum trees, gushing creeks, bright wattles, vineyards, Kangaroos and screeching cockatoos.

After this slice of country bliss, the lush gardens of the low-lying Valley Guest House are a surprise. Beneath a bush-covered hill are manicured lawns and neat garden beds of roses, wisteria, camellias, primroses and azaleas.

Six striking and luxurious suites offer total privacy in beautiful tulip and daffodil-filled gardens amongst rolling hills.

Two hillside king-sized studio suites with private balconies overlook the watergardens and fabulous garden.

Inside, every feature guarantees complete comfort and sheer relaxation: double-heated spa, fires, air conditioning, electric blankets, TV/CD, VCR by request, tea / coffee-making facilities, homemade treats and bar-fridge.

The main building houses four suites, two have queen-sized beds (one with double sofa bed for twin share), two have king-sized beds, one with its own private courtyard, the other with beautiful garden views. All suites include double-heated spas and cosy fires (air conditioning in summer), TV and CD player.

Breakfast is set as a buffet in our dining lounge area between 9 and 11am. Enjoy a selection of cereals, juices, a fresh fruit platter, yoghurts, pastries, breads, tea and coffee. The morning papers are supplied for you to read on the sunny decks or in the lounge area. Check out as late as noon.

BALLOONING - can be arranged from here - $285 per person weekends, $260.00 mid-week with champagne breakfast at DeBortoli's. (These prices do not include accommodation)

MASSAGE in your room $130 for 2 for 45 minutes each or $75 per hour

PLATTER IN YOUR ROOM - smoked trout, cold meats, Yarra valley & Gippsland cheeses, pesto etc, with lemon tart and clotted cream and champagne of course. $65.00
